Las Vegas verses the Offroad Superfans PDF Print E-mail

Sherwood, WI---What does an Offroad Superfan do when a Traxxas TORC race presented by Amsoil is hosted in Las Vegas?  Obviously, buy airplane tickets, get a hotel room, and Vegas here we come!!  The group was excited to partake in some Vegas activities; including a trip to Hoover Dam, Old Strip Casinos, “The New Strip”, and have the luxury to attend a Traxxas TORC race presented by Amsoil.

Where to stay?  So many options so little time.  Niner, an Offroad Superfan, researched out all possibilities but needed to go no farther once he found the “Circus Circus” complex.  Niner simply stated, “Big Circus Tents and Offroad Superfans-- this suites us!”  Nitro got a little “shake down” at Airport Security in Minneapolis but did make it eventually.  Once a famous “Circus Circus buffet” was consumed and hotel rooms were secured, the Offroad Superfans headed out to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. (Thanks for your patience Niner and Female Friend, and Dad Niner)

We enjoyed watching all races both nights.  Heck, even Scott Rehm, A TORC announcer, noticed the Offroad Superfans were present.  He commented, “The diehard Offroad Superfans have made the trip from up north.  I can see they are getting ready for deer hunting from the growing beards.”

The race of the weekend was Saturday’s Pro-4 race.  This was something you would have had to witness in person to appreciate it. . . .  A Monster Johnny rollover, a Scott Douglas Amsoil bomb, an Antrium obstructed hood view, Cenni flat tire,  Cenni take out a few signs, a Cenni (Wildman) don’t give up for anything.  This race also included a Curt Leduc anger management session held in the Penalty Box.  After the dust cleared, the Traxxas truck of Mr. Mike Jenkins was in the lead with a Red Bull Barlow torpedo closely following.  You did it Mr. Jenkins, congrats to you and your team!!!   The Offroad Superfans collectively looked at each other after the carnage and said “That was insane”

Brian enjoyed Vegas so much; he almost didn’t go home with the rest of pack.  Brian has a note for all of you independent  flyers out there, “Make sure when you book Red Eye flights that you book the date from the airport you are leaving (not arriving), or else you could end up not being on the plane you think you are!!!””

Please Join the Offroad Superfan fun enjoying Short Course Off-Road racing in 2010 and don’t forget to “SUPPORT THOSE WHO SUPPORT OFFROAD RACING”
